The Benefits of Mushroom Tinctures: Get to know Lion's Mane and Reishi

Here at Little Tree Labs we recognize the wellness potential from a number of plants…and fungi too! We have finely crafted two mushroom tinctures, Lion’s Mane and Reishi, from two very popular and effective medicinal mushrooms.

Traditional Eastern Asian medicine has used the fruiting bodies of Ganoderma Fungi, or Reishi, for their restorative properties for thousands of years. Over time this species has been given the term “Mushroom of Immortality” and for good reason: there is plenty of research to support the superpowers of Reishi. It contains a plethora of polysaccharides that promote longevity by boosting the immune system, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, providing stress relief, and managing inflammation.

This immortal mushroom also contains an incredible amount of a triterpenoid, a ganoderic acid, that can combat cancer directly by inhibiting tumor growth and eradicating cancerous cells. Other research suggests Reishi also supports healthy nerve function, so it’s no wonder why this mushroom is the #1 selling medicinal mushrooms on the market—get your comprehensive immune support with Little Tree’s Reishi Mushroom Tincture.

The Hericium erinaceus or Lion's Mane mushroom has a long history of use in traditional medicines as well. It contains two compounds, hericenones and erinacines, that directly stimulate the regrowth of brain cells and the creation of the nerve growth factor (NGF), a protein in the myelin sheath of nerve cells that is fundamental to healthy neurological function. It’s also believed to have immunomodulating characteristics, especially for the intestinal system. Other health promoting substances like antioxidants and beta-glucans not only support the nervous system, but help with regulating mood by easing anxiety. Feel the mental clarity you deserve with Little Tree’s Lion’s Mane Mushroom Tincture.

Both Reishi and Lion’s mane are powerful fungi found in the wild that can help you feel and perform your best each day. Reishi, the “Mushroom of Immortality” offers immune system support, can lower cholesterol and blood pressure, inhibits tumor growth, and offers stress relief. Lion’s Mane supports healthy brain function, relieves anxiety and depression, and enhances focus nerve support. Give both a try today to elevate your health and well-being to a whole new level.

How are Little Tree Mushroom Tinctures made?

Little Tree mushroom tinctures are made using a double extraction to ensure the highest potency of bioactive compounds possible. All of our tinctures are made in small batches using wild crafted or organically grown mushrooms. Our technique includes the use of high proof organic cane alcohol and spring water to extract the widest range of immune-boosting, cancer-fighting constituents like polysaccharides and triterpenes.

What part of the mushroom is used in our tinctures?

We only use the fruiting bodies of mushrooms for our tinctures. The fruiting bodies are finely ground to maximize their surface area, which allows easier penetration of solvents. Our products contain no fillers, like myceliated grain or unnecessary ingredients, to produce pure extracts that contain the greatest amount of beneficial compounds.

How long will it take to notice the benefits?

Everyone is different when it comes to the way they metabolize food or medications, meaning their reactions to our tinctures will be as well. Our liquid extracts are in the most bioavailable form and can be absorbed very quickly. Some say it only takes a few weeks, while others say a couple of months. Either way, taking the mushrooms for prolonged periods of time will deliver the best long term results.

How to take Little Tree Mushroom Tinctures?

Take 1-3 full droppers daily for immune or cognitive support. Can be mixed with a drink or simply taken orally by itself. Continued use of tinctures are suggested for best results.

Can I use multiple tinctures/ take too much?

There is an abundance of research that suggests medicinal mushrooms are synergistic, meaning they work better together than alone. Each mushroom has different abilities, take a single species for targeted support or combine with others for a more comprehensive result.

The daily value of these compounds has not yet been established, but what is known is mushrooms, like any other essential foods, can be eaten daily. Take the recommended dose unless instructed otherwise by a healthcare professional.
